Third South Bend 2045 Plan Speaker Series event set for February 9
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The City of South Bend's next South Bend 2045 Plan Speaker Series event will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the St. Joe County Public Library Community Learning Center.
Transportation will be the focus of the event, and the public is invited to participate in a public forum focused on the relationships between transportation and housing, the value of public transit and technologies that redefine how people and goods travel.
Kristie Chin, Ph.D., Director of Civic Innovation at the University of Texas at Austin, will be the guest speaker.
As part of her work, Chin leads the Texas Innovation Alliance, a network of local, regional and state agencies and research institutions advancing mobility for communities across Texas.
This is the third speaker event in the South Bend 2045 Plan Speaker Series. With each event, city leaders hope to hear from residents about what they want South Bend to look like in the next 20 years.
