Thousands enjoy South Bend Country Fest

Country music fans all across Michiana came out for the second annual South Bend Country Fest.

The concert kicked off at 5 p.m. Saturday starting out with Natalie Stovall and the Drive.

Music by country artists Trick Pony, Easton Corbin followed. Joe Nichols closed out the night after he took to the stage at 9 p.m.

The concert brought out a big crowd. As of earlier Saturday about 4,000 tickets had been sold.

Johnna and Delaney Christy are mother and daughter who attended the concert for the first time.

“We're excited, this is our first time doing this and we're stoked. We're excited for Joe Nichols and we just hope the weather holds off,” they said.

They said they enjoyed Natalie Stovall's performance and were thrilled to be near the stage.

"Everybody seems excited, and everyone seems positive. We're way up close and everyone was dancing, they're respectful and cool,” they added.
