Three injured when car crashes, overturns in creek
CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Three people were injured when the car they were in crashed and overturned in Dowagiac Creek Wednesday afternoon, according to the Cass County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to the area of Marcellus Highway near Russ Forrest around 4:45 p.m.
Their investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling east on Marcellus Highway when it left the road, struck a culvert and overturned and landed upside down in the creek, reports said.
The driver was transported to Bronson Hospital for her injuries.
Two passengers in the vehicle were taken to Ascension Borgess Lee Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
All occupants were wearing their seat belts.
Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
