Three juveniles arrested on drug, firearms charges
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Three juveniles were arrested on Monday after allegedly leading police on a chase and being found with drugs and firearms, according to the South Bend Police Department.
At 1:45 a.m., officers responded to two ShotSpotter alerts in the 1800 and 1600 blocks of N. Johnson St.
Officers on patrol saw two vehicles speed away from the area.
When officers tried to pull one of the vehicles over, the vehicle pulled into a parking lot in the 2300 block of Elwood Avenue and multiple juveniles jumped out and ran from police, reports said.
Three juveniles were eventually found and arrested on charges related to firearms, drug possession, resisting arrest and possession of stolen property.
One of the firearms found by police had been reported stolen, according to reports.
