Three men shot outside of 7-11 in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. -- Police responded to a report of shooting with injuries near the 100 block of Pottawatomi Drive and North Main Street around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, according to the Elkhart Police Department.

Upon arriving on the scene, officers found a 17-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg in front of the 7-11 on 429 North Main Street.

Police attended to the juvenile on-scene before medics arrived and transported him to the hospital for treatment.

During the investigation process, officers were told that two other men had arrived separately at a hospital that were also suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both men, a 22-year-old and a 17-year-old, also told officers that they were also shot outside of the 7-11, according to police.

Both were treated for non-life-threatening injuries to the leg.

No arrests have been made at this time and the Elkhart Police Department's Shooting Response Team is handling the investigation.
