Three people arrested on drug charges after complaints from residents

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—Three people were arrested on Friday after Indiana State Police executed a search warrant at a home in South Bend.

Around 7 a.m. on Friday, Indiana State Police Troopers served a warrant at a home in the 200 block of N. Taylor St.

Troopers located and seized suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, paraphernalia and a handgun that was allegedly in the possession of a felon. Three people were taken into custody.

Jerome Hayes, 43, of South Bend, was arrested on preliminary charges of violent felon in possession of a handgun, dealing heroin, dealing cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, and maintaining a common nuisance.

Patricia Phillips, 28, of South Bend, was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing heroin, dealing cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, and maintaining a common nuisance.

Shelby Toth, 23, of South Bend, was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine. Toth also had active warrants from St. Joseph, LaPorte and Lake counties.

All three are being held in the St. Joseph County Jail without bond.
