Three Rivers Police locate stolen vehicle, suspect found by K-9 officer

THREE RIVERS, Mich.--Three Rivers Police are investigating an incident involving a stolen vehicle.

On the evening of November 14, officers were sent to a suspicious situation at the Walmart store in Three Rivers.

Police found that a woman on foot and a suspect in a truck in the parking lot had been in an altercation.

Both the woman and the suspect in the truck left the area but officers found the woman and detained her. She was arrested for possession of drug equipment.

That night, an officer spotted the truck traveling south on Fourth Street and initiated a traffic stop on it but the truck drove away, according to police.

Police believe the truck was stolen out of Cass County.

Officers pursued the truck but the suspect got out of the truck on Bullock Road, reports said.

K-9 Django was deployed and tracked the suspect through the woods and opens fields to a residence on Bullock Road.

A search warrant was granted and the suspect was found inside of the home.

The male suspect was arrested on charges including fleeing police and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
