Three Rivers woman dies after getting locked out during frigid temperatures

A 90-year-old woman in Three Rivers died of hypothermia after she was locked out of her home during the subzero temperatures.

Ada Salna was found just outside her home in Fabius Township Wednesday afternoon.

Salna had gone outside to feed the birds and her cats and got locked out, according to WOOD TV.

She cut herself trying to break a window to get back inside.

The autopsy showed Salna died of hypothermia. Blood loss from the cut contributed to her death.
