Three teens arrested, accused of armed robbery in Howard Township
HOWARD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – After a reported armed robbery near Barron Lake, three teenage suspects were tracked down and arrested for the crime Tuesday evening.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, the victim told deputies several teenagers approached him, expressing interest in a vehicle he was trying to sell around 6:43 p.m.
After a ride in the vehicle, deputies say one of the suspects pulled a handgun and robbed the victim.
All three suspects ran from the scene.
Deputies say K-9 Officer Faust tracked the suspects to a home on Huntly Road where the three suspects were arrested.
A 17-year-old male from Niles was taken to the Cass County Jail while a 15 and 16-year-old suspect were taken to a juvenile facility.
Officials say a search of the home uncovered two handguns.
The 17-year-old suspect is awaiting arraignment.
