Three-year-old in Elkhart severely injured after being struck by vehicle

ELKHART, Ind. – The Elkhart Police Department reports that a three-year-old child was running across Prairie Avenue when they were struck by a vehicle.
The incident happened at 5:13 p.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of Prairie Avenue.
The child was transported to the hospital with serious injuries and later flown to Riley’s Children’s Hospital in Fort Wayne.
