Tickets to see the Cavemen in the state final on sale

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The Mishawaka High School football team is headed to state and tickets went on sale Tuesday.

The Cavemen are playing Indianapolis Cathedral Saturday for the 4A state crown.

Mishawaka has 3,000 tickets for the game.

You can buy them at the school's athletic office.

The last time the Cavemen played in a state final was 1974.

"This is just a testimony to our kids, our football players, and our coaches for everything they accomplished this year.  It wasn't too long ago we were 2-3 and people were wondering if we were going to win four or five ballgames.  And here we are now , nine-game winning streak and playing for a state championship.  Its quite an accomplishment," said Jerome Calderone, Mishawaka Principal.

Kick off is 3:30 Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
