Temperatures are expected to be hot Saturday, so we want to make sure you are prepared.
Right now both the Indiana and Michigan State police are warning residents to stay weather aware, with heat index readings expected to hit triple digits.
Even if you aren't thirsty make sure you stay hydrated. And avoid drinking alcohol. The CDC says it can dehydrate you and trigger heat illness.
The same goes for things like coffee and energy drinks.
Check on neighbors and family members, especially children and the elderly. They are the ones most in danger.
Of course you want to make sure to not leave them, or your pets, in your car.
Be sure to track temperatures on our ABC 57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather app.
