StaySafeOnline, an organization partnered with The National Cyber Security Alliance, runs an annual effort to promote data security education and awareness in the United States and Canada.
Data Privacy Day began in January 2008 and the day commemorates the January 28, 1981 signing of Convection 108, the first international treaty dealing with privacy and data protection.
