Toddler hospitalized after nearly drowning

A toddler is in Memorial Hospital after nearly drowning at his grandmother's house in Niles, Michigan.
The Berrien County Sheriff's Department responded Thursday around 7:53 p.m. to the home at 1801 Stateline Road in response to a call about a child who was not breathing after being found in a pool.
Deputies performed CPR until the ambulance arrived.
The 2-year old, identified as Marcus Criglear, was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
He is in critical condition.
The incident remains under investigation.
