Toll Road reopens in Elkhart County

The Indiana Toll Road was temporarily shut down at 100.7 mile marker because a construction crew struck a gas line, according to the Indiana State Police.

Eastbound traffic was being diverted at exit 96 and westbound traffic was diverted at exit 101.

The Indiana Toll Road tweeted the leak was likely caused by an accident in the eastbound lanes of the toll road.

Nipsco crews finished work on the gas line around 9:30 p.m.
