AKRON, Ind. -- National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado touched down in Akron, Indiana on Monday evening.
The large tornado touched down around 8 p.m.
The amount of damage is unknown at this time but many residents reported downed trees and damaged homes.
ABC57's Kylie Walker was in Akron to see the damage and speak to those involved.
