Toys for Tots registration now open

Registration to become a Toys for Tots donation center is now open in counties all across Michiana.

From now until November 24, residents can register to collect toys by calling 211 or the Toys for Tots toll free number 1-800-887-1107. 

Founded in 1947 and run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve,Toys for Tots has been serving American communities for over 60 years; collecting unopened toys each year throughout the months of October, November and December, then distributing them to less fortunate children at Christmas. According to the program's website:

 The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.
