Trader Joe's organic basil being recalled due to possible Salmonella contamination

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The popular grocery store Trader Joe's announced on Thursday that it is recalling Infinite Herbs Organic Basil (UPC# 8 18042 02147 7) which was sold in 2.5-ounce packages between Feb. 1 and April 6 of this year due to potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

The products were sold in Indiana, Michigan, Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, D.C., and Wisconsin.
