SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- NIPSCO crews will be working on an underground gas line on the west side of the Jefferson Boulevard and Twyckenham Drive intersection beginning on Oct. 26.

South Bend officials say north and southbound traffic on Twyckenham Drive will stay open with some restrictions.

Westbound traffic on Jefferson Boulevard will be detoured via Twyckenham Drive, Colfax Avenue, and Eddy Street.

Eastbound traffic on Jefferson Boulevard will be detoured via Eddy Street, Colfax Avenue, and Twyckenham Drive.

Jefferson Boulevard between Eddy Street and Twyckenham Drive will be open to local traffic only.

NIPSCO is expected to complete the work by Oct. 30, weather permitting.
