Traffic stop leads to drug charges

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department arrested a driver on drug charges after conducting a traffic stop early Tuesday morning.

A deputy stopped a car in the area of Ash Road and Old Highway 33 around 12:23 a.m. Tuesday.

Inside the vehicle, officers located drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to a Facebook post.

Jeremy Stremme 34, was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing in methamphetamine-felony, possession of methamphetamine-felony, possession of marijuana-misdemeanor, possession of paraphernalia-misdemeanor, possession of a controlled substance-misdemeanor, possession of a handgun without a permit-misdemeanor and driving while suspended prior.
