MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Thursday around 3 a.m. on US 30 west of US 31 for traffic violations, which led to the discovery of several illegal substances, according to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office.

K9 Officer Bear conducted a free-air sniff around the vehicle and was alerted to the presence of narcotic odors coming from inside the vehicle.

Following a probable cause search, deputies allegedly found a few pounds of suspected marijuana, nearly a half pound of suspected mushrooms, suspected methamphetamine, suspected cocaine and several vapes containing THC.

Christopher K. Weschler, an Aurora, Colorado, resident and driver of the vehicle, was arrested and placed in the Marshall County Jail on multiple drug charges, according to officials.

He was issued a court date for September 20 with a cash bond of $1,500.
