Train cars carrying soybeans derail in Starke County

HAMLET, Ind. - Crews in Starke County are cleaning up after several train cars derailed.

The sheriff's department says it happened sometime between 6:30 and 7 a.m. on 750 east just south of U.S. 30.

Dispatchers say the cars were carrying soybeans.

No one was hurt.

Dispatchers tell us traffic on 750 East is not being blocked because of the derailment.

They say the railroad is taking care of the cleanup.
