Train collides with a car in Mishawaka

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- A car travelling south across train tracks was struck by a train near Smith Street and Fifth Street Thursday night in Mishawaka.
The accident is believed to have happened around 10:40 p.m., police say.
There is currently no information on the number or extent of injuries.
Mishawaka Police responded and are at the scene investigating.
