Train strikes pedestrian on Main Street in Mishawaka

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- A male pedestrian was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a train in the 300 block of S. Main Street in Mishawaka, according to St. Joseph County dispatch.
The accident happened around 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
Mishawaka Police arrived on the scene to find the man lying on the tracks. He was conscious and had serious injuries to his head and arm.
Mishawaka Fire and EMS transported the man to a local hospital for treatment.
