Transpo announces service changes and detours for Notre Dame home games

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – The South Bend Public Transportation Corporation announced services changes and detours amid Notre Dame’s home games.

#5 North Michigan – Buses will bypass St. Mary’s College starting with the 2:20 pm departure from South Street Station. The detour will continue throughout Saturday. The 5:20 departure will be canceled. For 7:30 pm games, the 3:20 pm, 4:20 pm, and 5:20 pm trips are canceled.

#7 Notre Dame/UP Mall – Buses will bypass Notre Dame’s campus starting with the 10:20 am departure from South Street Station. This detour will continue for the remainder of the day. The following detours will also be in place.

  • Outbound – From LaSalle Avenue, buses will turn left on Eddy Street to State Road 23, resuming the regular route to University Park Mall.
  • Inbound – From University Park Mall, buses will turn left on SR 23 onto Eddy Street, and turning right on Colfax Avenue, resuming a regular route.

#13 Corby/Town & Country – Buses will be detoured beginning with the 10:20 am departure from South Station Street.

  • Outbound – From Hill Street, buses will turn left on SR 23, left at South Bend Avenue, left on Edison Road, resuming the regular route.
  • Inbound – From Corby Boulevard, buses will turn left on SR 23, right on South Bend Avenue, left on Hill Street, resuming the regular route.

Transpo wants to remind passengers that there may be delays due to game day traffic and encourage them to plan accordingly.
