PLYMOUTH, Ind.—Marshall County rolled out the red carpet on Thursday for the traveling Vietnam War memorial wall.
The traveling wall is a tribute to our veterans that paid the ultimate price for our freedom and is a replica of the Vietnam War memorial in Washington D.C.
The wall is on display in downtown Plymouth at River Park Square until September 15.
“It’s very important to the community, to bring the community together, for veterans to heal. It’s really appreciative,” said Max Gow, a Vietnam War veteran.
It spans 360 feet and stands eight feet high.
On the wall, 58,282 names of soldiers lost in Vietnam are displayed. A timeline and information about the war is also on display near the memorial.
