Tree falls on LaGrange house, kills 64-year-old man

The severe storms Monday night claimed a life of a man in LaGrange county.

 

Police say 64-year-old Larry Davisson died when a tree fell on his house at Big Long lake.

 

According to neighbors Davisson and his wife had lived there for more than 20 years.

 

Neighbor Jim Hogan stayed up to keep any eye on the storm.

 

He did not realize until the morning so much damage happened just a few doors down.

 

"They had to bring a crane in to lift that tree just to get him out of there, because obviously as you can see by the house, it just crushed it. It's just terrible," said Hogan.

 

The storm downed hundreds of trees in the area causing minor to major damage to several homes.
