Tri-county power outage prompts questions

ELKHART, Ind.-- On Sunday, thousands of Michianan's were stuck in the dark with no clear reason for a massive outage spanning three counties!

Saint Joseph county in Ind., Elkhart County and Cass County, Mich. were all caught off guard by the mysterious power outage.

A spokes person from Indiana Michigan Power said the outage was due to a technical issue with a transformer at the Cleveland road station.

About 5,400 people were without power across the three counties.

Indiana Michigan Power was able to restore some power to about 600 users around 8:30 on Sunday night but some folks were still without power by 11:00 p.m.
