Trial date set for babysitter charged with murdering 9-year-old girl

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The trial date for a Fort Wayne man charged with killing a little girl has been set.

Michael Plumadore will face a jury on June 18. Police say he was babysitting 9-year-old Aliahna Lemmon around Christmas time when she disappeared.

After taking a lie detector test, police say Plumadore admitted to killing her. They say he dismembered the child’s body into small pieces.

There was no discussion in the hearing about filing for the death penalty.
