Trinity Health and Catholic Health East to become unified health system

Trinity Health and Catholic Health East announced Wednesday that the two health systems signed a non-binding Letter of Intent to become a unified health system.
The consolidation would create a health system that serves people in 21 states with 82 hospitals, 89 continuing care facilities with more than 87,000 employees.
Catholic Health East is headquartered in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.
Trinity Health is headquartered in Novi, Michigan.
