Michiana is in store for more drastic weather entering the weekend. Although temperatures are expected to land in the mid 90s today, heat index values will break into the low 100s today thanks to the ample humidity present across our area. If possible, avoid strenuous outdoor activities in the mid-afternoon to early evening hours. Although we cool down to the low 70s tonight and escape the heat, thunderstorms are expected tonight with some possibly turning severe in the overnight hours. Primary threats are downpours, flash flooding, and gusty winds. Rain continues into Saturday morning but dissipates by lunch time as temperatures creep back into the mid 80s. Clouds continually decrease throughout Saturday revealing the sun as temperatures turn back to the low 60s by night. Sunday will stay put in the low 8-s with mostly sunny conditions, kicking off a temperate week for Michiana.
Friday: Mostly sunny. High 95.
Tonight: Thunderstorms, some possibly severe. Low 71.
Saturday: AM rain, partly cloudy after. High 84.
Sunday: Mostly sunny. High 81.
