Trucks banned from Indiana Toll Road due to high winds

INDIANA -- According to the Indiana State Police, there is a wind ban in effect for the Toll Road.

That means all double and triple trailers must pull off at the next service plaza. Toll plazas are not allowed to let any of the trucks on to the Toll Road.

There is one exception, and that is if the trucks are hauling steel.

The ban went into effect at noon on Wednesday and will be in place for 24 hours.

The ban will be lifted on Thursday at noon if the weather allows.
