Two arrested after breaking and entering attempt

NILES, Mich. – Niles Township Deputies detained two individuals after they heard loud banging noises coming from the 3000 block of South 11th Street early Wednesday morning.

The backdoor of Hacker’s Fun Zone appeared to be kicked several times in an attempt of breaking and entering, according to the deputies.

One of the individuals had gloves, a bandana, and suspected marijuana, deputies said.

17-year-old Melvin Clinton and 24-year-old Austin Barney were booked in the Berrien County Jail.
