Two arrested following police chase in St. Joseph County
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. – Two people were arrested following a police chase through Fabius Township on Saturday, the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office reported.
At 10:41 p.m., deputies tried to stop a vehicle on Null Road near Pulver Road for a traffic violation.
The driver of the vehicle allegedly failed to stop and allegedly led deputies and an officer from the Three Rivers Police Department on a vehicle chase, according to reports.
During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle drove through a residential yard on Pleasant View Road and allegedly crashed into a Three Rivers Police Department patrol vehicle before driving away again, reports said.
The suspect eventually lost control of the vehicle as it turned off of Day Road and onto Dutch Settlement Road.
The driver of the vehicle, a 37-year-old man from Three Rivers, and the passenger, a 26-year-old woman from Vicksburg, were both taken into custody for narcotics violations, deputies said.
The man is also facing additional charges related to the vehicle pursuit and outstanding warrants, deputies said.
