Two charged in viral theft on Washington Street in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Two women have been charged with battery and theft in connection with an incident in South Bend on September 1 that went viral, according to the South Bend Police Department.
Shykeena Smith, 23, was charged with two counts of battery and one count of theft.
Kanija Taylor, 28, was charged with one count of battery and one count of theft.
The charges follow a viral video from September depicting the two women allegedly attacking another woman during a yard sale in the 1100 block of W. Washington St.
