Two injured after car crashes into building in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, Mich. - Two people were hurt after a vehicle struck a building on Saturday night in Cass County.

The crash occurred near the intersection of U.S. 12 and Union Road in Mason Township. 

The vehicle was heading east on U.S. 12 before veering into the westbound lane and striking the front of the building. 

Officials say that the crash occurred when the driver, a 56-year-old Jones woman, suffered a medical issue behind the wheel. The passenger, a 56-year-old Jones man, also suffered minor injuries during the crash. They were both taken to a local hospital and treated for their injuries. 

Luckily, no one was in the building at the time of impact.
