Two injured in head-on collision on M60

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Two drivers were injured when their vehicles collided head-on on M60 Monday afternoon.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office was called to M60 near Gards Prairie Road in Penn Township around 1:45 p.m. for a crash.

Deputies said a man was driving east on M60 when he lost control of his vehicle and crossed the center line into oncoming traffic.

The second driver attempted to avoid a collision but was unsuccessful.

Both drivers were using their seat belts at the time of the crash.

Both were extricated from their vehicles and transported to area hospitals.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
