Two killed in crash on US 20 identified
LA GRANGE COUNTY, Ind. -- Deputies have identified the two people who were killed in a crash on US 20 at CR 250 West Monday afternoon.
The La Grange County Sheriff’s Office was called to the intersection around 1:45 p.m. following the two vehicle crash.
Witnesses told deputies a semi was traveling westbound on US 20, approaching the intersection with CR 250 West, when a Ford on CR 250 West pulled out in front of the semi.
Witnesses said the Ford had come to a complete stop, then entered the roadway for an unknown reason, reports said.
The driver and passenger of the Ford were pronounced deceased at the scene.
They were identified as 79-year-old Robert Hedges, and 77-year-old Barbara Hedges. They are both of Orland, Indiana.
The driver of the semi was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
