Two Michigan lawmakers banned from state house floor after remarks

MICHIGAN -- Two Michigan lawmakers are in hot water after making some controversial remarks on Thursday.

Democrat Lisa Brown what some have called inappropriate language after a debate on the floor about abortion restrictions.

"I have not asked you to adopt and adhere to my religious beliefs. Why are you asking me to adhere to yours? And finally, Mr. Speaker, I'm flattered that you're all so interested in my vagina, but no means no," State Representative Lisa Brown said.

Fellow democrat Barb Byrum was barred after using the word vasectomy.

The speaker of the house, a Republican, barred the women because they failed to "maintain decorum."
