Two Niles restaurants call it quits over the weekend

NILES, Mich. -- A Popular Niles steakhouse is now closed.

The Millennium Steakhouse shutdown over the weekend.

The restaurant opened in 2001, and was very popular on holidays or for special occasions.

Many people that ABC 57 talked to today were sad to see it go.

Autumn Legatt liked going to the restaurant she said, "It was a pretty high class restaurant for the area, they just randomly shutdown.  They had really good food.  I'm kind of upset that the closed, I liked to go in there."

The owner of the steakhouse also runs Prime Table Restaurant in Niles and said that any Millennium certificates can be redeemed there.

The Riverfront cafe in downtown Niles is also closed.

The manager posted a message to Facebook on Sunday  that said he and his son, the head chef, are "no longer affiliated" with the restaurant.

No word yet on what's next for the popular cafe.
