Two people arrested for firearm, drug charges
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Two people were arrested on Wednesday for firearm and drug possession charges, the South Bend Police Department reported.
The police department’s Strategic Focus Unit arrived at a residence in the 1500 block of West Fisher Street after learning that a person with multiple outstanding warrants was at the home.
The unit surrounded the home and seven people exited.
Jeremy Lamonte Williams was arrested for four warrants and for possession of a firearm without a permit.
The unit continued to investigate and eventually conducted a search warrant of the home.
During the search, investigators found a firearm, 100 pills of ecstasy, and a small amount of cocaine, according to reports.
Another person in the home, identified as Cory Williams, was arrested on drug possession charges.
The other individuals in the home were released.
