Two people in the hospital after a three-vehicle crash

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Elkhart County Police say they reported to the scene of a three-vehicle crash at 3:03 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of SR 19 and CR 42 that resulted in two people being sent to the hospital.

A vehicle travelling west on CR 42 allegedly ran a stop sign at the intersection of SR 19 and struck two other vehicles as a result, police say.

Police say the first vehicle struck, travelling south on SR 19, overturned and landed on its top.

Both the driver and passenger of this vehicle were sent to a hospital for injuries that are not life-threatening.

Police say the driver that allegedly ran the stop sign struck a second vehicle that was stopped at the intersection facing east on CR 42.

The driver and passenger of the eastbound vehicle declined to be transported to a hospital for their injuries.

Police say the driver that allegedly ran the stop sign sustained zero injuries and was cited for never receiving a license and disregarding a stop sign.
