Two vehicle crash leads two to be transported to hospital
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – The Elkhart County Sheriff’s office responded to a two-vehicle crash that happened at approximately 11:00 a.m. on County Road 50 and County Road 19.
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s office, Kailey Kitson, a driver, as well as one of her passengers, were transported to the hospital by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Sheriff’s office report that Kitson, driving a Mazda minivan, was stopped, facing East at the intersection of County Road 50 and State Road 19.
The second vehicle, driven by Grace Spencer, was traveling North on State Road 19 towards County Road 50.
Kitson entered the intersection in front of Spencer, causing the front end of Spencer’s vehicle to hit the passenger side of Kitson’s vehicle.
Kitson was cited for failure to yield to right of way.
All parties involved were wearing seatbelts.
