Up and down temperatures

Temperatures are expected to be well above normal through midweek, but in autumn fashion there will be some dips over the next seven to ten days.

This week highs will peak in the low to mid 70s Tuesday and Wednesday as high pressure exits and a southerly breezy keeps mild air pumping into our region.

Wednesday night a shot of cold air will bring rain, then  a sharp drop in temperatures to end the week.

The cool-down is short lived as temperatures climb back towards 70 next week. Long range the pattern still shows a strong signal towards above normal temperature to continue. However keep in mind, normal highs drop to the mid 50s by Halloween
