U.P. Mall installs electric car charging spaces

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Holiday shoppers who are environmentally conscious, or just want to save money on fuel costs will have a short walk into the mall this year.

The University Park Mall has installed two electric car charging spaces in front of one of the main entrances. The spaces are equipped with charge point network stations, so drivers can top off their battery while they shop.

The units are drawing curious shoppers for an up close inspection. The stations will sure come in handy once holiday the shopping season begins.
