UPDATE: City hires contractor to fix erosion issues at Grace Lawn Cemetery

ELKHART, Ind. -- There is an update on plans to fix an Elkhart cemetery.

The city closed Grace Lawn Cemetery earlier this month after a story we aired about severe erosion near plots along the St. Joseph River.

The city dumped some dirt along the river bank and put up a fence as a temporary fix.

Now, they have hired a contractor.

There is a pre-construction meeting later this week.
