UPDATE: Detroit city lawsuit dismissed

DETROIT -- A judge dismissed the City of Detroit's lawsuit against the state challenging a financial agreement with the state.

A judge declared that the mayor has no authority in the matter.

At a news conference the mayor applauded the judge's decision because now the city can focus on getting things back on track and fixing problems.

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder's office said that the state can also move forward and work the city on it's financial crisis.
