UPDATE: Two-year-old pulled from St. Joseph River still hospitalized, making improvements everyday

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police Department says that the 2-year-old boy who was pulled from the St. Joseph River earlier this week is making a slow, but steady recovery.

According to the boy's family, he is still at Memorial Hospital, but is making small improvements in his condition every day.

"The Elkhart Police Department is inspired by the community outpouring of prayers and well-wishes for this little boy and his family," EPD said.
