UPDATE: Visitation Services today for Granger native killed in freak accident

BROWN COUNTY, Ind. -- Granger native Chelsea Ann Lovett was killed after a tree fell on her in Brown County on Sunday afternoon.


She was only 20 years old.


Lovett was leading a guided tour on horseback when the unthinkable happened. According to the DNR, shortly into the ride, a dead tree fell, catching the limb on a second tree that then fell and struck the victim.


Lovett is a graduate of Penn High School.


Her visitation will be held Thursday at St. Pius Catholic Church, in Granger from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Lovett's funeral is Friday at the church at noon. Her burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, in Osceola. 


Donations can be made in Lovett's name to Pet Refuge Inc., in Mishawaka.
