Warsaw High School grad Harrison Mevis released by LA Rams

ESPN

LOS ANGELES - An NFL athlete with local connections has been released by his team.

ESPN reports that the Los Angeles Rams have cut kicker Harrison Mevis. He is a graduate of Warsaw High School.

The change came after what would have been a game-winning 48-yard kick by Mevis was blocked by the Buffalo Bills during their October 12 game. Mevis had also missed a 50-yard field goal attempt in the first quarter.

Mevis was 5-for-9 on field goal attempts for the season, per ESPN.

The Rams have since signed Blake Grupe from the New York Jets practice squad.
